AFEW Photo Competition
Can you encapsulate in a snapshot what your work is all about?
Can you capture a moment that sums up the issues facing vulnerable people in EECA?
Or perhaps, you can demonstrate the reality of the daily fight against HIV/AIDS?
AIDS Foundation East-West (AFEW) is pleased to announce a new Photo Competition, which is open to AFEW staff and to contacts in our partner organisations. With your help, the outside world will learn more about the important role of NGOs in improving the lives of vulnerable people and how we are working together to halt the spread of HIV/AIDS in Eastern Europe and Central Asia. In particular, we are inviting submissions of photos that show the people and situations related to AFEW’s projects and target groups.
To be considered, the following AFEW Photo Competition rules should be adhered to:
• All photos must be submitted no later than 15 February 2010 to konkurs2010(at)afew.org;
• Photos should reflect how NGOs work with people in action;
• Photos should be saved at the highest resolution possible - at least 300 dpi;
• Finally, we require written confirmation that all individuals appearing in photos submitted for the competition have given their consent to be photographed and for these photos to be reproduced and/or printed in AFEW publications.
Please note that AFEW will have the right to use any and all submissions it receives in its publications. By submitting your photos, you acknowledge this.
A panel of professional photographers who have partnered with AFEW on projects in Eastern Europe & Central Asia will choose the winning picture.
The winner will receive a photography-related prize!
